Custom IE 5 favorites icon

Have u ever been to a site and added them to your favorite list then found they have an icon in the list different to all the others!? Well if you haven't try a site like dynamicdrive.com or mine, I will be uploading one soon.  The affect which it produces is when the user enters his/hers favorites list they are more likely to pick an icon that stands out.

How you do it

Step 1

Its very simple first you need to make the icon, and im guessing you need to download an icon maker, try here http://www.impactsoft.com/muangelo/muangelo.html

Step 2

Make your icon  a specific size ie. 16 x 16 pixels, and make the palette only 16 colures, you need to use these variables to make it work.

Step 3

Once you have made your icon, save it as favicon.ico , there that's it just upload it to the same place as your index page, and try it out by adding your page to your favorites.
